Heating oil hit another record high on Long Island yesterday: an average of $3.259 a gallon, according to a survey of dealers done weekly by the state. Natural gas, on the other hand, is the equivalent of about $2.50 a gallon -- as calculated by the Oil Heat Institute of Long Island. So should you convert from oil to gas?
