County eyeing gray water

By spring, Union County is hoping to use less drinking water for landscaping and construction. As part of an effort to conserve water, the county plans to begin a small program to distribute water that is treated, but not to drinking standards. The water, sometimes called reclaimed water or "gray water," is treated effluent from sewer plants and can be used to irrigate lawns or flush toilets. ...
