Microchip stocks rose Monday amid continuing signs of strong personal computer sales. In a note to investors, Lehman Brothers analyst Tim Luke said computer chip makers such as Intel Corp., Nvidia Corp. and Integrated Device Tech Inc. have had encouraging demand this quarter with potential for a solid first quarter.
